Dr. Sinead Kennedy works as a project manager with the Photonics Nanostructures group in the Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork, Ireland. She is responsible for the management of the EU-IST PhOREMOST network of excellence, as well as managing the group's activities in national projects, other European projects and international collaborations. Prior to joining Tyndall, Sine'ad worked in the Science & Technology Policy Division of an Irish Government Agency (Forfas), providing research support on issues such as developing the Research & Development base, Intellectual Property Management, Nanotechnology and Women and Science. She obtained her BSc in Chemistry from University College Cork, Ireland in 1998, and a PhD in Surface Science in 2002 from The University of Reading, UK. She also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for 2 years in the Atmospheric Chemistry Group in the School of Chemistry, Reading.
