Olga Kavtreva is a PhD student at the Laboratory of Solid State spectroscopy in the Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute (Ioffe Institute), Division of Solid state Physics. She obtained her M.S. in 2004, at the Physical Faculty of State University of St. Petersburg, Russia. She was the Fellow of personal grant in the name of Leonard Euler. Her research is on the area of optical properties of synthetic and natural opals as photonic crystals, where she has an experimental experience. She has around 5 publications in journals and conference proceedings.
