Dr. Csilla Gergely is a professor in Biophysics at the Institute of Studies in Semiconductors of the Science University Montpellier France. She obtained her Ph.D in 1997 at the JATE University of Szeged, Hungary in the field of Bioenergetics. She has worked as post-doctoral researcher in the INSERM and CNRS Unities in Strasbourg France. In 2003 she habilitated at the University Louis Pasteur Strasbourg, France. Her main fields of interests are: the elaboration of new biomaterials and regenerative biomimetic strategies; molecular adsorption kinetics studied by AFM in force spectroscopy and Optical waveguide lightmode spectroscopy; bionanophotonics: biofunctionalisation of photonic crystals for molecular detection; TeraHertz spectroscopy of autoassembled biological systems. She has 57 publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings and one patent.
